*On the evening of the 17th of February 1575, Marcle Hill stirred to life, grumbled quietly and started moving. This massive landslip, estimated at 60,000 cubic metres, took place over three days, taking with it full grown trees, cattle and buildings. Named ‘The Wonder’ because it was so large and devastating, the location still bears evidence hundreds of years later.
